Jim Ferraris Sworn In as New Woodburn Police Chief

Woodburn Police Chief Jim Ferraris was sworn in tonight in front of family, friends and new and former colleagues. He replaces Scott Russell, who recently retired after a 28-year career, including the past 13 as Woodburn's police chief.

Woodburn PD Welcomes New Officer

The Woodburn Police Department welcomed new officer Jacob Stout this week. He was sworn in by Judge Janice Zyryanoff on Tuesday morning in front of several members of the WPD.

'Shop with a Cop' Brightens Christmas for nearly 70 Elementary Students

This week Woodburn police officers, along with some officers from Hubbard, Gervais, Silverton and Mount Angel and members of the Woodburn Fire District participated in "Shop with a Cop" at Walmart and made Christmas just a little brighter for 68 Woodburn elementary students.
 

Swearing in Ceremony for New Chief Jim Ferraris set for Monday Night

New Woodburn Police Chief Jim Ferraris will be officially sworn in as Woodburn's police chief at Monday's meeting of the Woodburn City Council.

Woodburn Man Crashes into Domino's, Injures 1

A Domino’s Pizza employees was injured after a car crashed into the pizza chain Tuesday morning at 383 Highway 99E in Woodburn.

The driver of the vehicle, Anselmo Ramirez Salazar, 18, Woodburn, was southbound on Highway 99E when he lost control of his vehicle and hydro-planed into Domino’s, striking Diana Rubio, 18.

Rubio was transported by ambulance to Silverton Hospital for evaluation and later discharged.

City Selects Jim Ferraris as its Next Chief of Police

The City of Woodburn is excited to announce it has chosen Jim Ferraris as its next Chief of Police after a long and extensive process.
