Public Art Mural Committee
Communities in the Northwest incorporate murals into their cityscapes, creating community pride and drawing visitors to these communities.
In 2012 the City Council adopted Ordinance 2491 to allow Public Art Murals on non-residential buildings within the City. In February of 2018 the City Council adopted Ordinance 2555, repealing Ordinance 2491. Woodburn’s Ordinance for Public Art Murals created the Public Art Mural Committee, along with procedures for evaluating potential murals.
The Public Art Mural Committee meets as needed when mural applications are received.
