Building Division:

The City of Woodburn issues structural, mechanical, fire alarm and sprinkler permits and performs inspections. Marion County issues electrical and plumbing permits and performs inspections, within the city of Woodburn.

Purchasing Permits:

The City of Woodburn participates in the statewide ePermitting program which allows contractors and homeowners to purchase permits, as well as use other online services such as scheduling inspections, searching permit history, and tracking a permit status. Homeowners may apply for building permits for work on their own property, however all work on commercial properties must be done by a licensed contractor.

Search for a Permit:

Anyone can check the status and search for permits that have been processed through the ePermitting website. There is no account required.

Inspections:

Contractors or homeowners with valid permits can schedule inspections through the ePermitting system. In order to receive a same-day inspection, requests need to be made and received before the 7am cutoff.  Inspection requests received after 7am will be completed the following business day.
