City Facilities Reopened as of Monday, February 7

02/04/22 Update:

On Friday, January 21, the City modified public access to various public facilities due to COVID-19 related impacts and critical staffing shortages. As measured improvements have occurred since that time, we are happy to announce the City will resume normal operations and restore access to public facilities, including City Hall, the Library, and Police Department on Monday, February 7.

The Woodburn Aquatic Center is currently operating on a limited schedule, but will work toward reducing COVID-19 related restrictions while increasing public hours and programming levels as staffing capacity allows. The current Aquatic Center schedule can be found below under the 01/22/22 update.

The City will continue to keep the community up-to-date on the status of City programs and services by posting the latest information here on the website, and on our Facebook, Instagram, City E-blast and Android/Apple mobile apps.

Aquatic Center to Resume Services on Limited Basis Starting Friday, January 21, 2022.

Since the start of the New Year, the City of Woodburn has experienced significant staffing shortages due to COVID-19 related impacts. As a result, the City is modifying public access to various public facilities, such as City Hall, the Library and the Police Department, etc., in order to protect the public and preserve internal operations. Assuming all goes well, we anticipate a resumption of more normal operations within two weeks.

As we continually reevaluate the situation, the City will resume normal operations and restore access as staffing and COVID-19 protocols allow. Consequently, effective Friday January 21, 2022, the Aquatic Center will resume modified operations, including the following new COVID-19 procedures:

  • Swim lessons remain postponed at this time.
  • The large locker rooms will be restricted; people are encourage to come dressed.
  • Family changing rooms will remain open.
  • Limit water fitness classes to 15 people + Instructor with required social distancing.
  • Limit regular fitness to 10 people + Instructor with required social distancing.
  • Dedicated lap swim hours, and single swimmer hours, will be restricted to one swimmer per lane schedule in 45-minute time slots.
  • Swim teams will have dedicated pool hours (with no other swimmers) and limited practice to 2 days a week.

If you have questions for Aquatic Center staff, please call (503) 982-5288.

As the community continues to grapple with COVID-19, the City’s ability to provide face-to-face services are subject to change depending on the day-to-day status of our staffing capacity.
