Tree Debris Drop Site
The tree debris drop-site will close this Sunday, February 28 at 6:00 p.m.
If you still have debris on or in front of your property that you need to dispose of please do so by this Sunday.
To access: Turn onto Hooper St. from Evergreen.
Center St. and Stacy Allison Way are CLOSED.
NOTE: This drop-off location is for Woodburn residents ONLY. Those outside of the City who need to drop off debris please use one of the following locations:
Marion County's Brown's Island landfill
Salem-Keizer Recycling and Transfer Station (SKRTS)
North Marion Transfer Station (NMTS)
Emergency Tree Removal Hotline
To assist Woodburn residents who are responding to the damage created by the recent ice storm, the City has created an Emergency Tree Removal Hotline to answer questions about things they can do to address dead, fallen and hazardous trees.
If you have a storm damaged tree on your property or within the Right-of-Way in front of your property, please call (503) 982-5210 to report it and receive information about whether emergency maintenance and/or removal is permitted.
Carbon Monoxide Safety Warnings
Per the Woodburn Fire District: To date Woodburn has had multiple carbon monoxide incidents with 20+ patients. The biggest issue is coming from folks using charcoal briquettes in their house and generators running inside the garage.
As a safety reminder: Carbon monoxide is an odorless, colorless poison gas. Many household items, including gas and oil burning furnaces, portable generators, and charcoal grills produce this poison gas.
Common symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning are:
Headache
Dizziness
Weakness
Nausea
Vomiting
Chest pain
Confusion
Exposure to carbon monoxide can cause loss of consciousness and death. If carbon monoxide poisoning is suspected, seek fresh air and consult a health care professional right away.
