Purchasing a Permit in Woodburn

Apply for a permit:
  1. Apply for a building permit through ePermitting and upload your plans.  Homeowners can apply online as well.

  2. Once the application is submitted and received online, you will receive an invoice from the building division for the plan review fee.  Once the plan review fee is paid, the application will be "accepted" and routed to a plans examiner for plan review.

  3. During the plan review process, the status of your permit will be updated online and comments will be sent digitally.  You can view the status of your permit through the ePermitting.  In general, a first round of residential plan review takes approximately 10-15 business days.  A first round of plan review for commercial applications takes approximately 15-20 business days.

Fees:
  • Fees can be paid for online in ePermitting using a credit/debit card, or can be paid by check. Make checks out to the City of Woodburn and mail/drop off at 270 Montgomery Street (be sure to reference your permit number or include an invoice with the check).

  • SDC fees are assessed through the Public Works Department

  • View our adopted fee schedule and school construction excise tax policy for an estimate of fees
