Request for Proposals - Safe Routes to School Project

The City of Woodburn is seeking a consultant to provide professional engineering design services for a multimodal Safe Routes to School project with two primary elements:

• Enhanced crossing on the west side of Front St. at the OR 214 Connector. Enhancements include widening the intersection to fit a pedestrian refuge island. This island will channelize cars and create a 2-stage crossing for pedestrians while maintaining truck turning movements. The crossing will also include striping, illumination, and ADA ramps on both corners.

• Create a wide and protected shoulder along the west side of Front St. (restripe the roadway for a consistent 10' width) with vertical delineation to serve as a 2-way walkway/bikeway for students.
