Criminal Investigations Unit

The Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU) investigates complex criminal cases that require specialized training, additional investigative time and coordination of resources.  CIU cases can include homicides, child abuse, sexual assaults, physical assaults, robberies, arson, burglaries and major thefts. 

The unit consists of one Detective Sergeant and three Detectives.  The unit works closely with surrounding investigative agencies along with Liberty House Child Advocacy Center, Marion County Homicide and Assault Response Team (HART) and Department of Human Services, Child Welfare Division.
