Food Carts

Food Carts: 

A food cart is a vehicle, trailer, wagon, or similar facility used for the sale of food and/or beverages directly to the consumer. A single food cart is allowed as an accessory use on property in any commercial or industrial zone through a Type I Design Review application. Refer to section 2.07.22 in the Woodburn Development Ordinance (WDO) for a complete list of applicable standards and regulations. 

 

Food Cart Pods: 

A food cart pod is a site with two or more food carts and associated amenities (seating areas, restrooms, etc.). Food cart pods are allowed on property in any commercial or industrial zone through a Type II or III Design Review application. Refer to section 2.07.22 in the Woodburn Development Ordinance (WDO) for a complete list of applicable standards and regulations. 

 

Mobile Food Services:

Mobile Food Services are traveling food carts that operate at various destinations along a route (destinations must be on private property). These carts may operate at each destination along the route for up to four hours, then must pack up completely and move on to the next stop. Refer to section 2.07.15 in the Woodburn Development Ordinance (WDO) for a complete list of applicable standards and regulations. 

 

Delivery Services: 

Delivery Services are traveling vehicles that sell and/or deliver food to customers (ice cream trucks, for example). These vehicles must be constantly moving, not staying in any location longer than 15 minutes. Refer to section 2.07.06 in the Woodburn Development Ordinance (WDO) for a complete list of applicable standards and regulations.
