Acting Chief Jason Millican | ✉
Jason Millican has been with the Woodburn Police Department since April 1998 and is the Acting Chief of Police. Chief Millican started his career working patrol and became a K9 officer in 2002. Chief Millican was a K9 officer until 2006 when he was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Unit. In the fall of 2006, he was promoted to Sergeant and assigned to patrol. From 2006 to 2011, Chief Millican was a member of the Woodburn Police Department Tactical Services Unit where he served as an assistant team leader, team leader, and sniper team member. From 2011 to 2012, Chief Millican was assigned to the South Metro Gang Task Force. In 2015, he was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit as a sergeant. In October of 2016, he was promoted to Lieutenant.
Chief Millican is a member of the Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He graduated from Western Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of the 274th session of the FBI National Academy. Chief Millican is a graduate of the Senior Management Institutes for Police and is also a graduate of the International Public Safety Leadership & Ethics training program.
