School Resource Officers
The Woodburn Police Department has two School Resource Officers assigned to work within the Woodburn School District and are supervised within the Community Response Division. The SRO’s work closely with school staff and students to provide a safe environment so that they can achieve their education goals. Each SRO is selected through a competitive interview process and attends the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) certification course. SRO’s work to create positive relationships and role-modeling while working in the schools. SRO’s often provide educational presentations to school staff, students and their families.
