Evidence Unit

The Evidence Unit consists of one full time and one part time evidence technician.  The evidence unit is responsible for logging, accepting, and entering all evidence, prisoner property and found property taken in by department personnel.  The evidence technicians transport evidence to the Oregon State Police Crime Unit, when warranted.  The evidence technicians facilitate release of evidence for investigatory purposes, to the courts for prosecution and to the legal owner of property when appropriate. The evidence unit disposes of evidence and property, within statutory guidelines, when not able to return to owner.
