Lieutenant Keith Kimberlin | ✉
Lieutenant Keith Kimberlin has been a member of the Woodburn Police Department since November of 2004, his most recent assignment being Detective Sergeant. Lt. Kimberlin started his career working as a patrol officer. He was assigned to the Marion County Meth Strike Force for a short period in 2008 before being reassigned to the Woodburn Detectives Division in 2009.
In 2010, WPD promoted Lt. Kimberlin to patrol corporal, and assigned him to the South Metro Gang Task Force, where he remained for two years before returning to patrol in an acting patrol Sergeant capacity in 2012. WPD then promoted Kimberlin to full time patrol Sergeant in January of 2013 where he remained for the next six years before transferring to the Criminal Investigations Unit (C.I.U.) as a Sergeant in May of 2019.
Other service highlights
From 2006 to 2016, Kimberlin served on the Woodburn Tactical Service Unit as an operator, assistant team leader, and team leader. He was also a less lethal munitions and taser instructor. Lt. Kimberlin served on the Oregon Peace Officers Association board as President for the Background Investigators of Oregon from January 2020 to 2022, and remains on the O.P.O.A board as a member.
Lt. Kimberlin attended Clackamas Community College for two years, taking basic studies and studying graphic design. He is also a graduate of the International Public Safety Leadership & Ethics training program, as well as the Oregon Executive Development Institute.
